Next Practice Partners is thrilled to announce the launch of the first Social Media Engagement Rankings in the world for the parks and recreation industry.
"These rankings were created to inspire parks and recreation agencies to tell their stories...and more often. These agencies and their staff transform lives in their communities and more people need to know that." said Neelay Bhatt Founder & CEO of Next Practice Partners.
Today, one in three individuals, do not participate in their local parks and recreation agency's offering because "they do not know what is being offered" per benchmark data by ETC Institute, the national leader in statistically reliable surveys for parks and recreation agencies. "That's millions of people that are left behind due to lack of awareness and that has to change." said Bhatt.
This report seeks to educate, engage, and energize agencies, leadership, and communities to champion social and digital storytelling and invest in marketing, as a necessity not a luxury.
The rankings are based on data obtained from the U.S. Census, National Recreation and Park Association, ETC Institute, agency websites and social media accounts, and social analytics tools. Collectively, it ranks the engagement for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to create an aggregated ranking model for Social Media Engagement.
This updated list ranks agencies in the Top 100 Counties by population for social media engagement and provides rankings and findings by individual social media. The top 10 agencies are from 7 different states and the top three are DuPage County Forest Preserve District, IL, Will County Forest Preserve District, IL, and Metro Parks (Columbus & Franklin County), OH.
